RULES & INFORMATION

  1. Event Overview
    48 player maximum
    Online & in-person registration available. We do expect to sell out so make sure you get in early!
    Estimated tournament length: 4 hours
    The tournament will be professionally structured and managed. Blind levels, timer, and current round will be displayed on the projector screen throughout the event.
    Custer Beacon kitchen will be open 4PM - 8PM

  2. Schedule
    Doors open at 4:00 PM
    Tournament begins at 5:00 PM sharp
    15-minute break at approximately two hours
    If you would like to enjoy dinner before the cards are in the air, we recommend arriving at 4:00 PM. Players are also welcome to eat during the break or after they have finished play. Please limit eating at live poker tables.

  3. Buy-In, Rebuy, & Add-on
    $100 tournament entry
    Includes 10,000 in tournament chips
    Blinds start at 50/100 and will increase every 15 minutes or as deemed by the Tournament Director
    One optional $50 rebuy for 5,000 chips · CASH ONLY. Rebuy available only after elimination and before the scheduled break
    Optional Add-On: Available for purchase during the scheduled break only. $50 receives 5,000 tournament chips plus one Custer Beacon drink token. Available once per player and only to players still in the tournament at the time of the break.
    Button Antes: Beginning at Round 9 (after the break), the dealer (button) will post a single ante equal to the big blind on behalf of the entire table before cards are dealt.

  4. Format & Expectations
    Standard No-Limit Texas Hold’em rules apply
    Tournament format with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place · this is not a cash game
    Tables are self-dealt
    Players should be comfortable managing standard gameplay and side pots
    If a situation arises, pause the action and call for the Tournament Director.

  5. Player Conduct
    Must be 18 years or older
    One player to a hand
    No coaching or discussing live hands
    Verbal declarations are binding
    Tournament Director decisions are final
    If you leave the table, blinds will continue to be posted on your behalf and your hand will be folded if you are not present if action is to you.

  6. Prizes
    There are no cash payouts.
    The top three finishers will receive donated prize packages.
    Each prize package has an approximate retail value of $1,200.

1st Place selects first

• South Dakota State Park pass
• Outdoor retailer gift card
• Trail maps and regional gear

Additional outdoor experiences or gear upgrades may be included as sponsor participation is finalized.

THE HIGH FLYER PACKAGE

A once-in-a-lifetime Black Hills experience.

Includes:
• Black Hills Balloons flight for two
• Dinner gift card at a Custer-area restaurant
• Champagne or celebratory picnic element
• Experience keepsake

Additional enhancements may be included as sponsor participation is finalized.

Volunteer Dealers Needed

Interested in helping out? We’re looking for volunteer dealers to assist throughout the evening. No formal experience required. If you know the basics of Hold’em or are willing to learn, we’ll provide a quick overview before play begins. Volunteers will receive dinner and a few drink tokens as a thank-you for their time. May 9th - Poker Tourney Registration
$103.20

Purchase includes one seat in the Charity No-Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament and 10,000 in tournament chips. One optional $50 rebuy for 5,000 chips (CASH ONLY) will be available during the designated rebuy period. Must be 18 or older to participate.

*Total price includes a credit card processing fees of $3.20. If you prefer not to pay for credit card processing fees, you may pay in cash during Custer Beacon’s normal open hours. We cannot guarantee that seats will still be available if you decide to come in later.
