JOSH HOYER

International recording artist, Josh Hoyer, has been performing since he was 8 years old. Music has always been his haven from a crazy world; a place of freedom and pure expression. Since 2003, Hoyer has written 10 studio albums to local, national and eventually, international acclaim. Versatility as a writer is one of his strong suits, blending all the styles in his deep catalog of influences.

From Soul to Country, Funk to Doo-Wop, Rock to Pop, the one thing that holds it all together is the strong songwriting and undeniably Soulful voice. Attendees will hear the songs, and the stories behind them, that span all 23 years of Hoyer’s work .The songs come directly from Hoyer’s life and have a realness that begs the listener to step into his world. They are about family, societal woes, love and loss. Hoyer aims to inspire and encourage through his music, and more than anything wants to relate the idea that no one is ever alone in their suffering. If you can sum up his music and performance in a word: genuine.

Hoyer has toured extensively both nationally and internationally playing thousands of shows in 39 states and 9 countries, was a featured artist on Virgin Voyages, a contestant on NBC’s The Voice in 2017 and his band won Best Band at the 2025 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.

"At its core, soul music that is actually good is music that dwells on heartbreak and pain yet translates to a sense of pleasure and redemption for the audience. This is something that is often lost in the “modern” soul music that infatuates so many hipsters today when they fall in love with bands who seemingly preach soulful songs but fail to deliver the emotional goods. For Nebraskan, Josh Hoyer, the heartbreak and pain is a driving force that comes natural, and when it comes to real soul music, he absolutely delivers." - GLIDE MAGAZINE
