About the band:
Modern Folklore are a 5-piece Indie Alternative band from Rapid City, South Dakota. The band formed in 2020 when Josh Shepperd and Dexter Carman met at a local music venue and realized their shared love of archetypical imagery and early indie/alternative influences. Soon after drummer Ed Flammond joined the band, followed by multi-instrumentalist Kyle Blessing, and finally bassist Patrick Fahey. Since then, Modern Folklore have performed dozens of shows across the upper Midwest and have had the pleasure of opening for such bands as Frankie and the Witch Fingers. Modern Folklore released their debut EP “Vol. 1” in September 2022 followed by the single "City Lights" in November 2022. They are currently recording their debut album "The Second Coming," set for release in mid-2023.
