If Otis Redding, Chris Stapleton, and Ennio Morricone all sat down with some beers to talk music, they might walk away with a band like Clayton Ryan & The Singing Mountain. A spaghetti western soundtrack masked by the blue-eyed soul of a powerful voice and the twang of vintage guitars, Clayton Ryan is a truly unique artist in every sense.
The product of a young life filled with blue-collar work, copious amounts of outdoor exploration, and an incredibly diverse musical experience, Clayton Ryan howls lyrics of his own rich story in his autobiographical tales. From a bartender to a railroad man, he has worked every dirt-kicking job you can expect, drawing inspiration from the lives of common folk. His all star band hosts a rotating cast of industry professionals that deliver an unmatched level of energy and virtuosity.
He has opened for artists such as Elizabeth Moen, Cristina Vane, Jalan Crossland, Walking Papers, and Consider The Source, making appearances at The Iowa State Fair, Des Moines Art Festival, CaveFest X, Feelin Sour? Funk Festival, Sturgis Rally, and Outlaw Square Music Series.
If an arena rock band wrote a soundtrack for an epic western movie:
Hailing from the mountainous deserts of the west, Gabriel The Bull is a force to be reckoned with, possessing howling vocals, a unique flamenco-style rock and roll, and intricate stories of self-discovery all within his performances. His music sounds as if Chris Cornell spent a month in the desert and came back with a rock band made up of reformed mariachi and flamenco musicians.
