Keenie

  • The Custer Beacon (map)

Country singer and songwriter Keenie may call Nashville, Tennessee home now, but she was born and raised in the beautiful Badlands of South Dakota. For several years Keenie has been performing at many fairs, festivals and rodeo events opening for artists such as Martina McBride, The Band Perry, LoCash and Joe Diffie to name a few. She has performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas during National Finals Rodeo (NFR) week as well as Professional Bull Riders (PBR) events in Vegas. She has also had the honor of touring with Armed Forces Entertainment to Africa to perform for our troops on three remote military bases.

Keenie continues to perform throughout the country while she pursues her career as a songwriter and recording artist in Nashville. She has been writing with the legendary songwriter Paul Overstreet (When You Say Nothing At All, Forever and Ever Amen) and Billy Aerts (songs recorded by Kenny Chesney, Miley Cyrus, and Joe Cocker). Paul and Billy are also currently producing her new project. While balancing her favorite things; singing, songwriting and barrel racing, Keenie looks forward to releasing her new project very soon.

Keenie is joined by local Black Hills all-stars: Tom Frear, Rich Copland, and Ed Emmons
